Festive fun for all the family
The choir on the beautiful Hertfordshire estate, Brocket Hall.
3 Choirs England France and Germany singing Harmonia Mundi
Twenty-one years of Singing For Pleasure was celebrated by WGC choir members at the William Cecil Memorial Hall Hatfield.
The WGC choir started with an introduction to its newest recruits before moving on to a This is Your Life style presentation to long-serving musical director, Cliff Rogers and his wife Glynis.
Arthur Harris paid tribute to the couple, describing them as "Two remarkable people who, by their single-mindedness and drive, have brought to past audiences and choir members alike a tremendous sense of dedication, fun and entertainment."
The choir handed gifts to the pair before they were presented with the big red book.
Cliff was keen to thank choir members and their sponsors, including the WHT which has covered its events over the 21 years.
He said "Sponsors have played a big part in the choir's success in the past and increasingly will be needed in the future as the Singing For Pleasure choir continues to build on successes shown during the last 12 months."
Glynis & Cliff are invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace and are introduced to HRH Prince Charles
