Enthusiastic vocalists have reached a fundraising landmark after using their talents to collect £100,000 for charity.
In the 18 years since Singing For Pleasure formed, the choir has supported causes including the Isabel Hospice, RNLI, Welwyn Hatfield Access Group and the council chairman's chosen charities.
Around 75 enthusiastic vocalists regularly attend rehearsals and now raise about £12,000 each year.
And the group, set up by Glynis and Cliff Rogers of Hollybush Lane, WGC, hit its target earlier than expected.
Glynis said "We thought we wouldn't get the £100,000 until Christmas this year but we had some successful concerts in the first part of the year."
3 Choirs unite in Gif sur Yvette, France. Singing For Pleasure from Welwyn Garden City, Great Britain, A Coeur Joie Arabesque from France & Liederkranz Muhlacker, Germany.
Language and culture came together as each choir sang some pieces of their own then all 3 choirs united and sang songs in English, French & German.
This was the first time all 3 choirs had preformed together but would not be the last.
Singing for Pleasure joins together with Wewlyn Garden City Male Voice Choir and Welwyn Garden City Town Band
Everyone had a great time as we came together in music and song.
